Special messages came with some of the first deliveries of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Covid-19 vaccine shippers. Staff members packing and prepping the containers were so excited they wrote personal, uplifting messages on the outside of the boxes. (See link below for the full story).

The J&J vaccines are being distributed using expanded polystyrene (EPS) coolers made by several Altor Solutions facilities. The custom containers are proven solutions that provide the high-quality temperature control required for vaccines and have the added benefit of being lightweight, safe, low-cost, and recyclable.

Several Altor Solutions facilities have decades-long track records for successfully providing solutions to the pharmaceutical industry to allow for the safe transport of vaccines, medications, reagents, and testing components. They also previously supported the distribution of a nationwide vaccine program during the novel influenza A (H1N1) virus outbreak in 2009.

“It’s incredibly exciting to see our products being used to help with the COVID-19 vaccine efforts,” stated Dan Valliere, Senior Vice President of the Polyfoam LLC group. “We completely understand the level of excitement they felt when the first shipments went out because our entire work family feels the same way. It’s an honor for us to be part of something as important as the health and well-being of the entire country, and it’s really inspirational.”
